SPECIAL REPORTS
Columbia Park Elementary School
Principal Shan Jorgenson-Adam presented the Columbia Park Elementary School Annual Report to the Board. The focus of her presentation was ìHow We Move from Start to Endî. Principal Jorgenson-Adam utilized a slideshow to highlight the school activities and events, the tools used to monitor progress, the year in review including accomplishments and challenges and planning process for the upcoming year.
Trustee Morrone commended Principal Jorgenson-Adam on an excellent and informative presentation.
Superintendent Cooper acknowledged that each activity and event highlighted in the presentation represents a tremendous amount of work by the staff. Columbia Park Elementary School should be proud of the rich opportunities that are offered to students and she is pleased to see the innovative approach to the Satisfaction Survey and planned revisions to R.A.I.S.E.
Trustee Chell reiterated the comment that he made to the other principals, that he is convinced from the annual reports that the quality of education is improving every day. He was impressed with the collegial planning efforts of the staff at Columbia Park Elementary School. He congratulated Principal Jorgenson-Adam on her report and presentation.

Administration Report: Superintendent Anne Cooper
Received as information. In addition to her report, Superintendent Cooper thanked Trustee Chell for his leadership on the Neighbourhoods of Learning initiative. She also acknowledged Tracy Spannier for her work on the District Community Literacy Plan and Roots of Empathy and Linda Chell for work with the Roots of Empathy program.
2009/2010 District Achievement Contract

"THAT the Revelstoke Board of Education approve the 2009/2010 District Achievement Contract and forward to the Minister of Education in accordance with the School Act."
Trustee Chell commented on how rewarding it is to see the strong results in each of our goals.

School District 19 Energy/Green Initiative
Superintendent Cooper provided Trustees with an update on the districtís development of a Carbon Neutral Action Plan. This past year saw some small steps taken towards this action plan and it is the districtís intent to engage in a far more aggressive set of strategies in the upcoming school years.
DISTRICT PRINCIPAL OPERATIONS & TECHNOLOGY WOODHURST
Capital Projects Update
District Principal Operations & Technology Woodhurst provided an update as to the status of the Capital Projects. The release of the Request For Proposals is imminent which will provide the three proponents with the necessary information to move forward with their design proposals.
Trustee Chell acknowledged and thanked District Principal Woodhurst and the project team for the tremendous amount of work that has been accomplished under the very tight time constraints.

Special Events
Trustee Hamilton reported on a number of special events that he attended including the Healing and Reconciliation events on May 30th and 31st, 2009, the Roots of Empathy Baby Celebration on June 8th, 2009 , the Revelstoke Secondary School play, Shakeloguegraphy on June 13th, 2009 and the Elementary Band Concert on June 22nd, 2009.
