Equity Scan

During the 2020/2021, the district moved from an Enhancement Agreement to an Equity Scan process.  The Equity Scan process is relevant to the whole community as the goal is to ensure equity for everyone.  Below is our Equity in Review document, our draft Equity Action Plan, and our current progress report.

Aboriginal Education Enhancement Agreement 2016-2021 Signing

On Thursday, May 26, 2016, students, parents, community members, staff, Revelstoke Teachers Association (RTA) members, Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) members, trustees, and Ministry of Education representatives took part in the signing of the second Aboriginal Enhancement Agreement for School District #19 (Revelstoke). During the signing ceremony led by Ariel McDowell, District Principal, Aboriginal Education, many performances of First Nations and Metis dance and singing were enjoyed by the large group of guests present. An aboriginal-themed tapas meal was prepared by students in the Revelstoke-based Okanagan Community College Culinary Arts Program. School District #19 (Revelstoke) is excited to begin this new, but continuing chapter of improving education for all students in Revelstoke.
