The Board of Education is pleased to share that educational consultant Anne Cooper has been engaged
to support the Board in the selection of a new Superintendent to replace Roberta Kubik who recently
announced her retirement following the conclusion of this school year.

As many of you will be aware, Mrs. Cooper is a former superintendent of our district having served for
fourteen years in that role. Anne continues to make Revelstoke her home and, since retiring, she has
supported a number of Boards across the province with this process. The Board is committed to a
thorough recruitment and selection process designed to identify a candidate who is best suited to the
district’s needs going forward.

The Board has established a recruitment plan that features significant input from staff and partners
throughout the process.

It is the Board’s hope that, barring any unforeseen delays, the successful candidate will be announced in
late April 2026 with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026.
